Our Store Teams
Each store has a staff that ranges in size from 14 to 50 team members. Typically, each store's team consists of the following positions:

Store Manager
The store manager is the team leader at each location. They are responsible for coordinating daily operations, budgeting (including profit and loss management), purchasing supplies from the central office, team hiring and management, and verifying that all company standards are being met. Our store managers report directly to our VP for Store Operations.

Assistant Store Managers (3 at each store)
Our assistant store managers are responsible for assisting the store manager in daily operations issues. Specifically, they lead one of the three shifts at our stores (breakfast, lunch, or evening services). They help motivate employees, address guest concerns, and supervise the production line and register lead. In smaller stores, the assistant store manager also handles catering requests for guests.

Catering Coordinator (1 each store / 4 locations only)
At our biggest four stores, (Half Moon Bay, San Francisco's Financial District outlet, San Jose's Shark's Arena outlet, and Oakland's downtown outlet), a catering coordinator is responsible for handling all of our guest's catered event requests. From small meeting lunches to large scale buffets, Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe's catering coordinators can help make your event spectacular!

Register Lead (3 at each store)
The register lead at each store serves two roles. First, they keep the registers running and the queues as short as possible! Second, they are our front line guest service associates and have the authority to make your order right. There is one register lead for each of the three daily shifts at a Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe location.

Cashiers (2-4 each store / per shift)
Our cashiers are your gateway to great sandwiches, super salads, and sensational soups! They welcome each of our guests with a smile and are there to help you make sense of our often-times bewildering menu of options and choices! So, if you're not sure what "Pete's Pumpernickel Tuna Plate" is, ask a cashier and they'll fill you in!

Sandwich Makers (3-6 each store / per shift)
Our sandwich makers are the heart of our operations. These are the people that make the Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe magic happen! Every sandwich maker knows how to make every single one of our fantastic sandwiches - and knows how to customize it to make it the best sandwich you've ever had! Sandwich makers also prepare our soups and salads for delivery to our guests and serve as the last check to make sure our high quality control standards are being met. If your sandwich, salad, or soup isn't just the way you wanted it, let one of these team members know and they'll make it right!

Food Preparation (2-4 each store)
Food preparation team members work behind the scenes in our galleys to keep the main food production lines moving. They bake our breads - fresh, every day! They cut the fresh vegetables that go into our salads and soups. They assemble the ingredients to make our soups. And they make sure that all of our foods are kept at the best temperature to make your visit great!

Cleaning Services (1-2 each store)
Our cleaning services team members are responsible for keeping the dining areas of our restaurants clean and inviting. From the floors to the table tops (and, yes, they even do the windows!), our cleaning services people help to make your visits to the Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe enjoyable and pleasant.
