Probably nothing
is more controversial today than issues surrounding religion and homosexuality.
The purpose of this page is to direct open, seeking minds and souls to
resources that will help them understanding the issues involving faith
and same-sex love.
I am a Christian so this page
reflects mainly my own search and point of experience. I have tried to
include some resources for people of other faiths as well, since I believe
this to be very important, but have very little expertise in other religions.
It may surprise some to know
that I was raised Southern Baptist and that, despite my absolute disdain
for the Southern Baptist Convention and my continuing struggle to find
an affirming Baptist church, I still hold to some of the core tenants
of Southern Baptists (the divinity of Christ, the priesthood of the believer,
the sacrament of immersion baptism as a symbol of new life in Christ,
etc.). See, it is possible to be gay, liberal, and Baptist.
My journey has not been easy
and still continues. I thank God for discovering the television ministery
and published works of Dr. Gerald Mann. Dr. Mann describes his faith as
"Common Sense Christianity." I firmly believe in many of the
approaches Dr. Mann takes to Christianity. You will find his website and
his works listed below.
Dr. Daniel Helminiak, author
of the book "What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality"
also helped me through this fantastic book understand how the Bible does
not condemn homosexuality, despite years of being taught the contrary.
Rev. Mel White's biography was also a source of much inspiration and also
gave me hope. Both of these books are found below.

what I believe about Christianity and Homosexuality, click here.
A lot of good links to
follow that aren't Charlotte-specific. Check out the "Blue Book"
at the top of the page in .pdf format - it is a wonderful document.
Mary,
the owner of the site asked me to post the following description.
She's a really sweetie and I think her site is great: A site
which affirms homosexuality as a valid alternative lifestyle supported
by enlightened ACCURATE interpretation of the Bible - products,
resources, education, free personals, chat rooms, bulletin boards,
more . . .
A ton of links to sites
dealing with mulitple faiths (although I don't like the main page
concerning Christianity much - it borders if not crosses distastefulness
to me)
