About Peter E Thorsett

An Instructional Technologist, Management Leader, and Researcher
Peter Thorsett has over 10 years of management and technology services experience. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director for Technology Services in the Department of Housing & Residence Life at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His past assignments have included operations and human resources consulting work for several Fortune 200 companies and fast moving start-up organizations.

While at Georgia State's College of Law, Mr. Thorsett oversaw the College's web initiatives and the development and implementation of training programs for students and employees of the school. He also helped to redesign their website, developed interactive CD products, and wrote the school’s technology strategic plan during his tenure. He also designed and built 11 state of the art, electronic classrooms, teaching labs, and conference rooms for the College.

Mr. Thorsett has presented on technology, education, and management topics to organizations such as the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI), and the Law School Admissions Council. He has also received recognition for his instructional material design work from the Association for Computing Machinery.

Mr. Thorsett is currently completing a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology at the College of Education at Georgia State University. He holds an MBA in Electronic Commerce from Georgia State and a BSBA in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee.
